the Trainers All our trainers are members of the International Faculty (IIBA) and have been Bioenergetic Therapists for over 20 years. Barbara E. Davis, LCSW, CBT, is a clinical social worker, in private practice in Austin, Texas and the director of the Austin Bioenergetic Society. She has published articles in various professional journals, with areas of specialty that include trauma, catastrophic illness and bereavement. Barbara works extensively with couples and is a Certified Group Therapist. She teaches in Brazil and the US and is Coordinating Trainer for the Manitoba Society for Bioenergetic Analysis. Michael Maley, PhD, CBT is a psychologist in private practice in Minneapolis Minnesota, specializing in the treatment of trauma, mood disorders and Energy Psychology. Michael is Coordinating Trainer for the New Zealand and the Atlantic Societies for Bioenergetic Analysis. He is the author of two books on change, spirituality, energy, and the body. He began his training in Bioenergetic Analysis in 1973 and became a trainer in 1978. Alex Munroe MSW, RSW, CBT is in private practice in Waterloo and Coordinating Trainer for the current SOSBA training program. He chairs the IIBA Bylaws Committee and is a member of the IIBA Ethics Committee. Alex works with individuals, couples and families on relationship issues, stress, depression and addiction issues. He has led workshops and presentations in Canada, Italy and Brazil. Alex became involved in bioenergetics in 1981 and became a trainer in 2003.
Helen Resneck-Sannes PhD CBT is a psychologist
in private practice in California. She has taught and published articles
in the areas of sexuality and sexual abuse, trauma and shame. She has
recently published "There Really Is Something To Be Afraid Of:
Treatment of panic disorder" 2002, in Panic: Origins, Insight,
and Treatment. San Francisco: North Atlantic Books. She also published
a memoir, Father's Rooms, chronicling her experiences of caring
for her father with Alzheimer's. A chapter from the book appears in Love
is Ageless. Helen teaches in Europe, New Zealand and the US and is
on the Board of Trustees for IIBA. Helen began in Bioenergetic Analysis
in 1981 and became a trainer in 1989. |
